Chinese buffet

Yesterday I went to a buffet with my family for my sister's birthday! We went to a buffet that had mainly Chinese, Japanese, and American food. I have been here about 5 times with my family. I love the pan-fried dumplings(pot-stickers), hot and sour soup, baby bok choy, steamed rice, white flavoured rice, vermicelli noodles with vegetables, garlic bread, and peppered chicken. I normally don't eat the American food here but I tried the garlic bread because I LOVE garlic bread. It tasted great. I used to eat Texas Toast when I was little. I loved it because I loved and I still love garlic bread. It tastes okay now but it is so greasy and the bread is so soaked. I wish it wasn't so greasy and artificial. The garlic bread at the buffet was a small thin roll with some parsley on top of it and it tasted like garlic bread. I think the garlic is inside the roll. I did eat some of the vegetable and meat dishes, and some fried rice. I don't like the peas in the fried rice but I ate them any ways. I didn't eat any lo mein this time because it is very oily and and the noodles are thick. I wish the food here was not so greasy(oily). I feel that the onions could have been cooked more because it tasted a little raw. I like caramelised onions. I don't eat the seafood(sushi, shrimp, crab, etc.), and American food(fries, nuggets, other fried food). I wish I took a second picture of my plate! It wasn't as full like my first. My second plate had white rice with drizzled hot and sour soup on top, more fried dumplings, two siu mais, one chicken teriyakki (for my sister), and more vermicelli noodles. My sister persuaded me to try some sushi and I did. I tried a normal one. One with cucumber, avocado, fish(?), and rice. I didn't like both of them. I dislike all kinds of sushi. I don't like the vinegar they add to the rice, I really dislike cucumber (and the smell too), the avocado, and the fish too. I tried a crab dumpling and it tasted weird. It tasted raw which I believe is the case. It was imitation crab meat, not real crab meat.
On one of my experiences here, I ate so much that I threw up in the parking lot...I think this place is a clean, friendly, and quiet place to eat a lot of food. I would give it a five but I don't because I choose to eat a limited selection of food here(I don't like sushi, seafood, a lot of the meat dishes here, and some of the fried foods).
Oysters, lo mein, baby bok choy, and pork fried rice

Asparagus, general tso chicken?, meat and onions, mushrooms, beef (?) and broccoli, and beef with onions.

Pork loin, some type of meat, corn, meat and vegetables, and some sauce (gravy?)

My first plate full of food. Shrimp with pepper and onion skewers, five pork dumplings, baby bok choys, pork fried rice, flavoured white rice underneath, mushrooms (white),  pepper chicken, some meat with onions, beef, chicken, pork, and vermicelli  noodles with some sauce and vegetables.

Hot and sour soup with one crab dumpling on the left, on the right another pork dumpling and underneath is a Siiu mai.

I won a giveaway + my review on No Tug Hair Tie/ Ouch-less hair ties/ elastic hair ties

I won a giveaway on Youtube about three weeks ago. I received my prize on December 16. The giveaway was held on a channel, Pretty Hair is Fun. The giveaway was sponsored by Maddyloos. I was so happy and ecstatic that I won. :) They had multiple people win. I know this is a small thing to win but it was just the feeling of winning something that also made this very special. I rarely win anything. I won three things last year form online. I won this hair elastic set, three set book series by Sarah E. Ladd ( I loved the series!) , and another book from some author ( I have yet to read the book). The elastics came in a small plastic ball and can also be an ornament! I actually did put it up on our tree. The seven elastics are a Christmas theme.  I loved almost all of them. I didn't like the plain green one. It had a rhinestone ring attached to it. I found the coloured glittery elastics to be tighter than the plain coloured elastics. The glittery elastics fit almost perfect on my wrist. It is a little snug but it is fine. If it were any tighter and smaller then it be painful to wear. The elastics are tight enough to keep my hair and braid in place but also not too tight to make my pull out my hair when I sometimes pull it out. My sister liked them so much that I decided I would give her three of them. My favourite elastic is the white glittery one.

The Heiress of Winterwood Review

A couple of days ago, I read The Heiress of Winterwood. I read it in one day. I was interested in the book because I read one book from the author and I was sure I would like the rest of her books. The first book I read from Sarah Ladd was, A Lady at Willowgrove Hall. I would give the book, The Heiress of Winterwood, a four star. This book is part of the Whispers on the Moor series and is the first book of the series.

The book is about a girl named Amelia Barret, she is an heiress to an estate but she has no legal rights to the estate . The story takes place in Darbury, England in 1814. The book starts with Amelia taking care of her friend, Katherine. Before Katherine dies, she gives a letter she written to her husband to Amelia, and asked Amelia to take care of her daughter, Lucy. I think Katherine died of maternal death or childbirth. Eleven months later, Amelia comes up with a plan to care for Lucy. Her plan is to propose to Captain Graham Sterling when he returns to Eastmore Hall. She thinks Captain Sterling will accept the proposal, marry her, and then he will go back to the navy. She tells her cousin, Helena of her plan and her cousin thinks it is stupid. Helena said that if she goes through with the plan, she will lose everything she has like her to-be husband, her wealth, her reputation, and her prospects. Helena tries to reason with Amelia but she doesn't budge. Amelia then does question her plan but then comes to the conclusion that it is the best thing to do. Amelia is engaged to a man named Edward Littleton. Amelia likes Mr. Littleton because of his dashing looks and passionate nature. Mr Littleton will not allow Lucy to stay at Winterwood Moor once they get married. Because he will not allow Lucy to stay after their marriage, Amelia wants to marry Captain Sterling. Amelia thought she loved Mr. Littleton but she finds out she doesn't love him as much as she thought. She overheard him say something to her uncle. Mr. Littleton cares more about the estate and the money than Amelia.

Ending: Mr Little enraged with Amelia because she broke their engagement, takes the girl, Lucy away from Amelia. A letter given to Captain Sterling says that he will give Lucy back for a ransom and he could only go alone. Amelia wants to come along and he lets her. I think later she is also taken away later. She finds out her cousin, Helena is pregnant with a child. Mr. Littleton was having an affair with Helena. Captain Sterling and his brother, William Sterling find where Mr. Littleton is and rescues Lucy, Amelia, and Helena. I believe Mr. Littleton was going to ship them all away somewhere.

The book isn't exactly what I expected. The book is mainly about Amelia trying to save and protect Lucy. Along the way, she falls in love with Captain Sterling, the father of Lucy. None the less, I still enjoyed this book! I loved it even though it was not what I expected.
