Yesterday I went to a buffet with my family for my sister's birthday! We went to a buffet that had mainly Chinese, Japanese, and American food. I have been here about 5 times with my
family. I love the pan-fried dumplings(pot-stickers), hot and sour
soup, baby bok choy, steamed rice, white flavoured rice, vermicelli noodles with vegetables, garlic bread, and peppered chicken. I normally don't eat the American food here but I tried the garlic bread because I LOVE garlic bread. It tasted great. I used to eat Texas Toast when I was little. I loved it because I loved and I still love garlic bread. It tastes okay now but it is so greasy and the bread is so soaked. I wish it wasn't so greasy and artificial. The garlic bread at the buffet was a small thin roll with some parsley on top of it and it tasted like garlic bread. I think the garlic is inside the roll. I did eat some of the vegetable
and meat dishes, and some fried rice. I don't like the peas in the fried rice but I ate them any ways. I didn't eat any lo mein this time because it is very oily and and the noodles are thick. I wish the food here was
not so greasy(oily). I feel that the onions could have been cooked more
because it tasted a little raw. I like caramelised onions. I don't eat the seafood(sushi, shrimp,
crab, etc.), and American food(fries, nuggets, other fried food). I wish I took a second picture of my plate! It wasn't as full like my
first. My second plate had white rice with drizzled hot and sour soup on
top, more fried dumplings, two siu mais, one chicken teriyakki (for my
sister), and more vermicelli noodles. My sister persuaded me to try some
sushi and I did. I tried a normal one. One with cucumber, avocado,
fish(?), and rice. I didn't like both of them. I dislike all kinds of
sushi. I don't like the vinegar they add to the rice, I really dislike
cucumber (and the smell too), the avocado, and the fish too. I tried a
crab dumpling and it tasted weird. It tasted raw which I believe is the
case. It was imitation crab meat, not real crab meat.
On one
of my experiences here, I ate so much that I threw up in the parking
lot...I think this place is a clean, friendly, and quiet
place to eat a lot of food. I would give it a five but I don't because I
choose to eat a limited selection of food here(I don't like sushi,
seafood, a lot of the meat dishes here, and some of the fried foods).
